Right so update.
Phone service as mentioned before was fixed(thank goodness for that)
However my speeds are still not even close to what I was getting and peak times is generally still usable. Rung up again because it was degraded at around 2PM ish (the speed was below 30mbps) and they basically said we need you to monitor it for 24-48 hours. I got told the same thing a week ago and I even did update them and I even mentioned my previous tickets before then.

There's also been no update whatsoever on if this is getting fixed. Literally am in the dark here.

I also want to know if others are still getting issues.

I haven't been playing often enough lately to know whether I still have latency issues .. as for speed .. still hovering in the 60mbps area.

I was previously getting a flat 100/20 .. ironically I'm getting faster than advertised upstream haha

Also, still getting poor speeds, 23 max during the day, 16ish at night on my 30/10 fibre.

Did a few days of testing, didn't hear anything back.

Same thing here, in central Auckland area.

Before was getting 95/45 on 100/50 plan.

Ping to 8.8.8.8 double normal, ping to orcon DNS servers around 35 instead of < 5, and ping to JP around double as well at 280 instead of 140.

ubergeeknz is there an update as to what is going on? I've done so many steps through support.

So far they've gotten me to download their "Orcon Broadband Diagnostic" which seems incredibly dated and now they want me to take screenshots of FTP transfers.

I have been complaining and raising support tickets since the 30th of March and this is simply frustrating that my support tickets are only just getting noticed now and this doesn't seem to be getting any better at all.
Honestly I'd like to just leave but I am locked by contract. There are others still I'm sure that are still feeling the same frustration.

Wow, those results are crazy. You certainly are long suffering and deserve better feedback IMHO. Must say the lack of feedback/action is atypical but still a worry.

Stupid thing is that it seems to affect only a few people. My 30/10 has never deviated from 27.7/9.8.

The fact that I'm paying so much for a service I'm not even getting is crazy enough for me. Everything else is just icing on the probably the most awful tasting cake.

serriously just leave, if they ask/tell you to pay a fee for breaking the contract point them to the info i posted earlier about the Fair trading act which they are in breach of.

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=40&topicid=171348&page_no=6#1305599

tell them you will fight it, and im pretty sure they will back off, it wont be worth the effort/cost for a break fee.

I won't break in yet. But I've done some serious consideration.

Another update. Apparently they're gonna take 10 business days to analyze my speed/latency issue.
Literally not even good enough.

Yes but it's real hassle on my side, and for me to leave would be a very very very long conversation on the phone I may have put up a lot but I have patience.
