Minh: why is the 30/10 having trouble maxing out I have no idea how the networks work but
this seems like traffic management?

Do these services ever get above the reduced rates? Slow down due to congestion at some times of day but rising to full rates at quiet times wouldn't suggest rate limiting. Multiple posts here suggest the rates to local servers do vary but it isn't clear to me whether full rates are still seen at times.

No they don't get back to normal even at off times at all.

DensitY: ]   been like this for on a month.. 78-65mbit/sec.. when I first got fibre it was 101Mbit/sec.. I figure extra strain on the network but month with no news is concerning.

This has been pretty much my experience as well, initially went 100/30 virtually all the time, now lucky to get 70mbit off-peak, and worse as above, latency well above 100ms to Sydney along with reduced speeds.

Yep same for me as well. Used to get constant 95/45 speeds, now lucky if I can break 80, normally around 75 with 60 during peak times. Latency has gone up by about 40 to the game servers I play on (in japan, used to be 140 now it's around 195+). These are just speed tests to local CallPlus servers (they own Orcon now right?), not international traffic. Wonder if that recent change in ownership means worse quality service for the customers?

So I got a text last night saying that my issue should be resolved.

As it is right now. This does not look fixed.]

Edit.

Rang them up, they've updated the ticket again. About ready to ring up next time and close the account based on that they aren't complying and haven't been since the 30th of march to fix this when I originally called them up after the 30th of march.

Did they say how they resolved the issue?

No and now it's continuing to get worse so that's a TDR complaint filed.

Done.

I am still finding highly variable service when dealing with international sites. Orcon have a serious issue.

Still thought we'd see more than this to Auckland on 100/50.
