Ah right that makes more sense then as the host is on Snap's network so you should get close to max speed. I'm on 100/50 so there's obviously something else faulty going on there.

You're connected to Telecom BB, aren't you?

I was but it got disconnected a few days ago, I've now only got the Snap UFB and a Fyx DSL line as a backup.

Just to report back, Snap were very helpful in the end. One of their staff visited me with a box to run some tests and they discovered that Chorus had provisioned the connection incorrectly.

That is now fixed and I can get excellent National download speeds (~89mbit HTTP to Snap's network) and decent International download speeds (~21mbit over rsync+ssh to Linode/HE Fremont).

I still need to do a little more testing with the upload which seems somewhat restricted but overall very good.

Thanks Snap people.

Thanks for the update hads.

Were Snap able to fix the line provisioning issue themselves or did chorus need to do it?

Thanks.

Mine was also fixed about a week ago now. My issue was a simple error, I was provisioned on the 30mbps plan which should have been 100mbps.

I was asked to lock this thread as this problem is deemed solved. Can the OP please confirm it's indeed solved so I can lock it?

I am told this problem is solved, therefore I am locking this thread to prevent new users posting unrelated replies.
