Thanks, that's great news.

Are they expected to be compatible with the S5 as well ?

Cool - 'bout time!

Suspect 2D will have learnt a solid lesson on the old over-promising / under-delivering front here. Though not a particularly tough lesson as I imagine only a tiny portion of their total customer base would live in Wellington* and have Galaxy S4's and care particularly about Snapper T2P functionality or the lack thereof.

Good to hear they're trying to future proof their T2P sim & software design as much as possible re future NFC phones - I'd put money on it that 2D hope and have confidence it will be compatible with the S5. But until they get their hands on the S5 and test to confirm it actually works, based on their S4 experience their safest approach would be to publicly say as little as possible till then. Though a money-back guarantee of day 1 S5 T2P functionality would be nice.

*It is only Wellington currently right? Expect it could've been Auckland too by now if not for the Auckland Transport fiasco.
