gnfb:johnr: example: Last week Vodafone NZ customer posted on Vodafone community about speeds and how they had dropped to 1/20 of what they use to be had a bit of a rant how poor speeds are now, After an investigation into the issue by the customer they figured out what had happened, Customer had damaged house wiring by accident when moving some stuff into a cupboard, They sorted that out and speeds went back normal
That happens and i agree its not always your guys that arae at fault
when i first moved in i got crappy speeds and i happened to get a tec there Called Cameron or as i refer to him as Saint Cameron He told me to remove the 5 m ext cord i had on my modem and the speeds went up by x4 times
First rule don't use an ext lead on the xDSL modem next rule when issues happen do an isolation test
