Sounddude:
sdav: So many posts... Is there a way to access hom v/m from within the app? I can't seem to find it if it's there.

just dial 789, like you would on your genius home line

I've only ever listened to them on my phone via email that my wife and I both receive. Didn't even know the v/m number.

My UFB broadband usage doesn't show on the "Data Usage" tab. Never used to show on the other Orcon app either :(

This is on Android 4.x

This confused me too. It's only for 3g data in the app, does not show your home data - which would be good too.

The issue with your other app? Not sure.

The genius go app only tracks 3g usage so that we can alert on it to the user.

Not sure about the other app.
If you PM me your details we can take a look, cant promise much right now though.
We are going to be looking at the usage app again.

We were concerned about perception of mobile data use, and to allow users to set a limit on use and to have the app track and alert you on that was deemed important.

Definitely see a need for the overall usage to be displayed, just quite where and how isn't thought through yet.

nice idea.

so this basically means that any orcon customer who has, say, unlimited national calling in their bundle can now make those unlimited national calls from their mobile, from any location that gets 3G or wifi signal?

pretty sweet. I always wondered why fixed line telcos never did this. Obviously mobile +fixed guys like Tcom and VF wouldnt do it as they would be eating their own lunch, but makes complete sense for fixed operators.

If you just put it in the same tab I think it would be fine. Maybe rename the titles to say something like "Your Home Orcon Data Usage" and "Your Orcon Go Data 3G Usage" which takes you to sub menus for each or something.

Yes from anywhere you get an internet connection, on the planet... Cant vouch for the call quality but we dont restrict it.
We have a team member in the US getting home calls while he is away.

That is pretty much the leading option.

What about my problem with outgoing calls while not being an Orcon customer? As expected these aren't connecting but shouldn't have a message saying "Sorry, you can't do this"?

Actually even if I try to call another Genius Go user there's no feedback. I see an incoming sip call <sip:999941021....@genx-sip.orcon.net.nz:5080> in my network but nothing. Tried on 3G and WiFi. The other user is an Orcon customer and Orcon Genius Go user.

freitasm: Installed this earlier today. IM works very well, even though not an Orcon customer.

Tried to use the dialpad to call a number (non-Orcon) and instead of just telling me "naughty boy, you aren't an Orcon customer, try your phone instead" it just went quiet, no feedback.

Other than this, IM worked fine this morning with XPD...

Thats good to hear... Especially since i was doing a restart a few times of IM this morning...
Sorry didn't know anyone was using it...

My tests show i get a pop up after the call is terminated, i get 4 options:

1. register an account
2. find out about becoming a customer
3. make the call using your mobile
4. back

What phone, os and app version are you running?
