MingL: try to reset the phone and update the fireware last night. phone is on 6.1.3 now. but its sim locked. seems like i need to contact the carrier at Ireland or something.
anyone knows who can do the unlock job in auckland? and how much would that cost.

thanks alot~~~

Ming

Sorry you now have a brick - that's why I said earlier don't update it

Unless you have your Sam activation ticket the only option is a full network unlock .

PM me and I can see what I can do to help you

Ever tried this? Almost all carriers I know won't unlock unless you prove you are the original owner of the phone and you have a current contact with the carrier and have good credit history with the carrier.

I have unlocked before without a current contract, but I was the original owner.  I have no idea how the Irish carriers operate though.  Can’t hurt to ask.

The other option would be to give someone on the internet your IMEI and some money and hope they unlock it for you….

Or wait until a jailbreak/unlock is available….
