Hi Illici7,

Are you experiencing any issues with 4 hourly disconnects on that new router they've provided?

I've been through most of the same issues as you + more and am on the same new router now but getting constant DC's. 5 working days and no responses to my DC support calls for me =P it just makes me laugh now.

I feel your pain in dealing with these issues with Orcon, i'm in the middle of it now. The difference between us being i'm not putting the effort in to officially complain and am just ditching them after no end of problems with my fibre connection since installation last year and attrotious experiences with support since then. I'll be doing a full write up on my experiences on here when i'm ready.

Best of luck with your better experience on this sweet new router it's nice!

Hi Kingie07,

Not as of yet, everything seems to be stable... VOIP had to be reset up and that's about it. My alarm would let me know painfully if it disconnected by beeping every 10 seconds until it gets an active phone line again.

Did your disconnects start as soon as you received the new router? Are they computer disconnects or complete router communication? Heh I gave up calling them after a while, rather just sending e-mails, But even that can be a pain. Sorry to hear about your experiences, It sounds like you've had a rougher time than me. The main issue for me was the 4-5 month delay in getting it installed, thank god i didn't disconnect my previous adsl2 connection on their timeline they first advised! And my driveway never recovered from being dug up, am going to have to organise uhh re-grassing and have since mowed over dozens of bits of brick and concrete :/

Happy to help with router settings if you want to compare yours to mine if that might help, just pm me :)

I do like the new router!, I have gigabit switches in place because the original genius was 100mbps lan and can finally rewire things up a bit nicer.

Best of luck with your new connection and your write up, if you could please let me know who you go with and what your experiences are :)

Looks like you have had pretty good comms and constant change and new modems etc to try and get your multiple gamer scenario working right up to last Saturday. I've asked the Assurance team you have been working with to call you tomorrow as it is the team who regularly cover weekends as part of their shifts that have been dealing with it and have been trying to maintain continuity on the issue.

As it is we have only 2 customers having this issue so it will be troublesome to diagnose I'm afraid.
