I'm keen for some IPv6 love too if you need another UFB tester. Although I'm on UFB and don't use the genius router.

Can we have some details on how this will be implemented?  Will we continue to have a public IPv4 address?

Dual Stack

So both an IPV6 address (Prefix Delegation of a /56) and a public IPV4 address.

Sticky at this stage, linked to CPE Mac address.

Static options will come later.

Good to know!

Sticky for the most part would be good enough for most, my one gripe is my /48 isnt sticky or static currently - but then when uptimes of a few months is normal when im not toying with things cant say it affects me very much!

So, sounddude has confirmed my connection is now ipv6 enabled ... what's required for my PC to get ipv6 connectivity?  I turned on ipv6 dhcp in the router which was off before but i'm not getting a local address ... does my connection get an ipv6 range that I can assign to local machines or a single ip that needs to be (dare I say it in this discussion ...) NAT'd?  (now excuse me while I wash my mouth out)

The (black) orcon router isn't resolving ipv6 addresses

The Genius black supports both IPV6 RA and IPV6 DHCP. However aslong as you have IPV6 enabled in your OS is should just work.

What OS are you using behind the genius?

Windows and MAC will listen to the IPV6 Router-Advertisements (which is a ICMP6 packet sent to a multicast address) and will then add a MAC or random number onto the back of the IPV6 Prefix we have assigned you.

No NAT required! No such thing as NAT in the IPV6 world.
