I'd be surprised if they didn't. There were no ISPs out there using untagged UNI ports as the default.

My current RSP (EOL) is untagged.

Plenty offer untagged as an option, but my understanding was there was nobody by default untagging all ports because of the obvious problem that you no longer have a CIR component to your connection. This isn't an issue if you don't care about voice/video or any guaranteed bandwidth for your connection, but certainly isn't something you'd want to do in a business environment or where you're running voice over your connection since UFB speeds are 100% EIR with absolutely no guaranteed bandwidth.

Residential and SMB users aren't even going to know how to use the real-time queue/CIR component of their connection, as you know it doesn't just happen by magic. It makes better sense to provide access ports by default if you don't have a bundled VoIP product, and have an option to enable tagging when and as needed for VoiP/Video

I don't see MyRepublic's choice a weakness, if anything it makes the service easier to use for the average use, and allows more router options.
