Flip can't do anything and Deepak may as well have been a bot after all.

I'd suggest trying to find someone at EA who knows anything at all about networks and how they govern their region locked servers.  While the administrators can white list and block IPs just as they could to revoke player access in the event of misconduct, the database which each and every region locked server talks to will be controlled by EA.  If the server administrators can't help you, then it's EA you need to talk to.  The only other option I see is your connection bypassing the CGNAT and being given a public IP address, which I don't think they have the capability of doing.

Just like when talking to a customer service rep at an ISP about a technical issue...You need to find the technical people from EA that are willing to forward your case to the actual "specialist" team.  Flip are great because the head of networks isn't 3 working days away in terms of being able to get an answer out of him, and he will give you a straight answer.  I'm guessing that straight answer will be something along the lines of "It's EA's problem".  Flip's network is non-standard.  EA didn't consider that when designing their region lock system.  Flip will need to give you a standard solution to match EA's standard region block system or the region block will have to change to suit Flip's non standard IP range.

I feel for you.  I hate issues like this.  Easy to narrow down the problem, yet so hard to find the right people to sort it out.  If you manage to get anything from EA, you will probably be helping a lot of Flip customers. :)

Any idea why i can connect to some servers and not others even though they have been rented from the same place ? or is that just because they are not running any sort of region locking

Each server will have a different configuration.  Hosted at the same place or not, being able to connect will depend on those controlling who can or cannot connect.  If you are trying to connect to two servers hosted by the same crowd and one fails and the other lets you in...The server that allows you to join will be configured to do so.  It sounds as if you literally have to get the master administrator to configure all servers to allow you to connect.

After countless hours talking to people involved i don't think i am going to get it sorted. Waiting on a email from FLIP but i dont think they are going to be able to do anything. Talked to the server renters they don't want to do anything because I don't rent any of the servers ( sigh )

Fibre in my area should be finished by Jan 2015 so i might have to leave FLIP and just go with someone else. I was thinking Bigpipe but i think they use CGNAT as well and im not sure if it's that cause me problems or just flips network design

I think you will find it's specific to Flips network.  At least with BigPipe, you can request a public IP address at additional charge if it does not work out.  It won't be static however.  If you want a static public IP address, you will need to find a bigger player.

We use CGNAT by default, but you can have a public IP upon request for no extra charge.

We'll also have static IPs in the next couple of weeks. (for a fee)

Do you know if anyone on your network has had issue like i do ?

And if i went on ADSL now with you guys would me switching to Fibre in Jan/Feb result in a termination fee

Not aware of anything like this.  If people have issues like this we generally switch them to Public IP and that resolves it

We don't have any termination fees. At all.

With BF4 - most geoblocking is done by a third-party plugin, so EA won't be able to help you directly.  They are not the ones blocking you, it is the plugin used by the server provider.  I'll have a look at our BF4 server tonight, and see if I can find any details about which ip-location database they use.

It seems to be only FLIP , Iv talked to people on vodafone , orcon , spark , slingshot . All can stay in the servers i get kicked from.

Ill be leaving FLIP anyway , Apart from this iv had no issues with service. But they don't have Fibre and my area is said to have it by Jan 2015

Had a look, but I can't see specifically which geolocation database this plugin uses sorry.  As others have said, Flips IP entries haven't made it onto the particular geolocation database used by the BF4 server plugins.

This is your problem.

not your isp, but the service the server uses to tell where you are.

Given its a ton more easy to blame the isp and move on, but if you enjoy their service, i see no reason you shouldnt be putting as much effort as you have put into this thread, talking to the admins of the given servers about white-listing you or updating their potentially outdated geodatabase.

In theory yes this would work , But as i have mentioned before most server Admin do not believe i am from New Zealand. I even contacted the resellers and they won't touch the issue unless i have servers with them

Join our server, and let me know here when you are in (we have no country kicker set). I can see what country - if any - the plugin thinks you are from.

Server: [s8] - section8 - NZ and Aus
