Quinny: Moved from TCL cable a year ago and was on 130/20 down 150gig cap I think it was. Moved to 30/10 UFB unlimited (no longer available). Have totally not looked back. Speeds fantastic we game, youtube, stream and download with zero issues. I have never had to do a modem reset when the TCL one needed all the time. Do miss the tv side as in some ways was better that sky direct which now have.

The point you make about Sky is probably the only thing holding me back.

TCL/Voda's package pricing is quite compelling. I pay ~$150 now for Sky (Sport, HD, MySky) and 100/100 Unlimited Cable. The cost if I switch will be significantly more.

Happy snap customer here. Speed/Performance and customer service is really good.

Have been with Snap for eight years with generally very good performance and little need to contact support.
The IPv6 issues seem to be have been resolved recently.
Moved from VDSL to UFB just a week ago - straight-forward change and performance is good.
We've been using the SnapPlus VOIP for our homephone for around 18 months. Overall it's good, but recently we have experienced intermittent outages. I've had a job in with Snap support for over two weeks now with little response, so not so impressed about that.

200/200 UFB. Fritzbox 7490. Previously VDSL and Fritzbox 7390.
Their voip solution works well and the fritzbox is good hardware.

Only thing ive ever had an issue with is when they have had ipv6 troubles in the past. Easy solution is disable ipv6 on the fritzbox.

We went with Snap for our UFB provider and I can definitely recommend them.

Connecting to UFB? Go with Bigpipe and use this link for free credit!

This thread is a good reminder I need to get myself sorted - I'm another LowerHuttian on VF/TCL and probably "should" upgrade to UFB, even though not a massive consumer, the value benefits appeal, as does not having to deal with VF.

I've got to say I was not a big fan... I had a bunch of issues with the support department over the 3 years I was with them.
Although saying that, I just recently moved to Slingshot and had the worst customer service experience of my life. Took them over a month port my VOIP phone number...

I have been with SNAP for over 2 years and they have only had one outage in that time.

I have had to call support once or twice and they answer quickly.

sometimes I do something dumb and email them at midnight and there is a reply ( with the correct answer within a few hours )

when I moved from WXC and Compass my connection speed was exactly the same but I was getting 25% faster downloads.

I don't use snap for my phone as you have to use the fritz, that is the only downside.

I can not recommend Snap highly enough.

Considering using snap When ufb gets here eventually. Need reliability, and good customer service. Hence been with spark since day 1. But snap prices are so tempting and I like unlimited

I've found my Snap connection (ADSL, then VDSL) to be generally quite reliable. I've had a few issues around the place, but I can't attribute then entirely to Snap. The IPv6 issues from the recent past were the worst of them, but they've cleared up now and could be worked around by disabling IPv6 at the router.

The big selling point I've found is their support. They're actually technical people who can resolve your problem. They aren't generic call centre drones who make you run through a script before passing you onto someone who can actually help you. I'm also the technical type who runs through the standard troubleshooting procedures before I call, so it's nice to be able to give a summary of what I've done and not have to do the same things again.

Snap "just works". Support, in the rare case it's needed, is good to very good, better than Vodafone for sure.

I think the Snap brand has only existed for about ten years or so, but it resulted from the merger of Netaccess and another Christchurch based ISP. I originally signed up with Netaccess back in 1996 when it was run on a bunch of Macs sitting in the spare bedroom of a guy who lived down the road from us. I've been a customer on and off since then, and never had any major problems that I can recall.
