I have seen some notes and if this is correct, I'd say sometime this month.

Given the email went out to everyone 1 month ago, and they said in a few months at the time...your estimate is on the money money-mouth

SamF: Here we go:

Traffic management
We have a traffic management policy which allows us to prioritize time-sensitive traffic (e.g. VOIP and gaming) over non time-sensitive traffic (e.g. peer to peer) at busy times. See our no data cap FAQ for more details. We have not currently implemented this but may choose to do so in the future.

Couldn't find the 'no data cap' faq unfortunately.

I also don't understand their; 'We have better support because you can't ring us' line...??

Hi,

If you've got questions, happy to answer them in another thread (in the Bigpipe subforum). Don't want to get this one off-topic.

cheers

Thanks for fronting up on this, you gain some points for that! :)

No questions really, just a matter of waiting to see how your performance stacks up against other ISPs using metrics such as TrueNet etc.  For me it's a matter of 'tried and true' vs 'new guy on the block'.  I've seen ISPs come and go before so I'll be watching you guys with interest :)

Seriously DO NOT sign up with Bigpipe.
Just signed up for it for a day and already regret it.

All their customers are behind a NAT device, but it was stated on their website that public IP address is available upon request. When I do ask them about it, they just casually said that it's no longer available and asked me to pay another $45 for static IP.

Stop soapboxing in threads that have nothing to do with your issue.

I have Snap fiber, 2 degrees mobile and telecom landline. Would be good to get a bundled packaged at discounted rates.

Why not bundle a VOIP line with your existing fibre connection. You would still be paying less per month than getting services from separate retail providers.

Since you already have Snap fibre, is there any reason you can not use their packaged VOIP for your phone?  You are already paying for it.

why is this even marked as an answer? It's nothing to do with this thread, and just someone ranting about a different provider with incorrect information.
