Also a pretty bad idea if you want fibre...seems like they're limiting speeds to up to 30Mbps
No, that's not the case; have a look at the other thread linked to in the post above yours.
EDIT - and this quote from 2 Degrees CEO: "Customers in areas where ultrafast broadband is already available can upgrade to plans offering 100Mpbs download speeds and 20Mbps upload speeds for an extra $10 a month, or to plans offering up to 200Mbps speeds for an extra $30 or $50." (source http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/70601261/2degrees-launches-home-broadband-plans)
I and others have commented on the poor advertising of this, though - for example when a current Snap user selects the option to switch plans the only option at least initially is for 30/10 fibre (either 80GB or unlimited), but apparently there is the ability to select all all other speed options up to 200 though it's not obvious where this information is (I'm waiting for someone to explain its location!).

Is VDSL also limited to 30Mbps?
2degrees Broadband Unlimited* (VDSL)
DizzyD: Looks good. I may consider switching from bigpipe.
Do we have the option to have a public or static IP address?
And what about transparent proxy?
benmurphy66: There own helpdesk seem to have no idea what is going on (trying to get $10 discount loaded). pretty disappointing start to the 2degrees broadband experience. Bring back Snap!
Flickky:
There would be no reason for them to limit VDSL to 30Mbps (some poor souls can't even get up to 30 on VDSL anyway!) - would assume as fast as the line can go.

hellonearthisman: I wonder if this $89 is including the $10 off for having a Pay Monthly mobile.
Samsung Note20 Ultra, on 2degrees
raydenl: They have some info up on the modem you get:

Be good to see more detailed specs. I.e.
Lan port speed 100Mbps or 1Gbps?
2.4ghz only, or 5ghz?
Wireless N, or with AC?
Psilan: Just an FYI: Changing from Snap VDSL naked to a new 2Degrees VDSL naked plan incurs a connection fee. Madness.

what madness! I was a click away from changing our Snap ADSL 50GB naked to a new 2Degrees VDSL 80GB plan that I assume will also incur said fee?. How much is it btw?
