You want to know the worst part? There is fibre only meters from where I live, but I live in an apartment and it will probably be forever until they get anything like that into the building.

Thats whats really horrible.

I can get fibre at my new house, Hey i even got an ONT.
Its just too difficult to sit on the phone to Vodafone and try to get it connected and provisioned.
My 70Mb/s VDSL works well enough.

I've recently switched to 2degrees from Spark. With Spark I would get 38Mbps but only 32Mbps with 2degrees. I'm using the Fritz Box with 2degrees but both Huawei and Technicolor would get the same speed with Spark. It has been 11 days and my profile has changed to 17a but with no change in speed. Is this normal?

sometimes that happens, ive been on 41mbps while still on 17a before, and that beeing said ive been as high as 67mbps too.

just be happy you are on 17a as when the upgrades come round you should get better up and download speeds.

Just wondering... are people still getting high VDSL speeds with 2degrees or just average speeds. After seeing this thread and seeing my profile change but with no speed increase I'm curious. When they say "Best connection available up to 30Mbps" are they actually limiting it?

Compare your sync speeds with your throughput. Should tell you. My VDSL doesn't sync fast enough to be able to determine if there's a 30Mbps limit.

how fast do you get in a speed test? im guessing about 32-33mbps?

if so then its pretty obvious they are not limiting to 30mbos

its just something some marketing person has put on their site
