We hate having to do this, but we simply can't absorb the cost. We won't be over recovering this levy and when it goes, so will the charge. If you have a question about your bill please call us on 0800 022022 or 200 from your 2degrees mobile.

Here's more info on the updates to our pricing.

Also worth noting, Spark has increased their prices by 99 cents to cover the levy - whereas 2degrees is doing 95 cents.

2degrees has said they're charging exactly what they need to cover the cost. So why are Spark charging that extra 4 cents? Explains why Skinny is so cheap... :P

can we cancel our contracts without a penalty since youre forcing a price change we didnt agree to?

I'm guessing no, but worth asking.

Read the terms and conditions you agreed to when you signed up. You can cancel IF you can prove that the price increase is going to have an extreme adverse impact on your financial situation.

tbh, I think you're just trying to use this as an excuse to get out of your contract. No one else seems to believe the sky is falling over 95 cents. There hasn't even been complaints on their Facebook page, and people complain about extremely trivial stuff on there...
