Since my last post I've been talking with Ralph from 2 Degrees and he was very helpful and answered all my questions.

Unfortunately my line isn't good enough for VDSL, but I'm glad I asked the question as it may be a possibility if the new profile gets rolled out in my area.

I'll keep patiently waiting for Fibre and keep and keep an eye out on the new profile rollout :)
