@jandal160165 Ensure you're testing via Ethernet (and not WiFi) + read the thread.

Brand new with MyRepublic today. Extremely disappointed with the speeds we're getting on our new VDSL . Starting to really really regret the switch over from Spark. Went from getting 40 + mbps with a good upload speed of 11-12. To what you see below. I feel the advertising on MyRepublic's page is extremely misleading. "Gamers VDSL". Right now spiking latency in Warcraft to over 400ms +. Waiting for a call back from MyRepublic now. Estimated wait of between 4-6 hours. I can't see how they can resolve this issue. It seems this is the speed we will get. But my question is, how can you advertise a "Gamers VDSL" package with latency spiking to over 400 ms? seems to even out after a while then spikes again. Never had this issue before until switching over to MyRepublic.

Apologies for not being able to edit my first reply. Some good news in regards to my new MyRepublic connection. Smooth as butter now after a few changes in the new router we have. Very happy :) Long may it last

Nice work, my ethernet speed is up higher as well.  But still missing a bit of download speed.

Do you mind if I ask where you go to run that speedtest?

I have to say, there has been a noticeable speed improvement in the last week or two, which I believe will coincide with the Hamilton hand over upgrade.

Thanks My Republic.

Getting absolutely terrible download speeds unless it's around 2 am in the morning. We went from 4.6-4.8MB/s Download speeds on Steam with Spark down to barely 2.0MB/s with MyRepublic VDSL sometimes even lower. Have tried multiple different servers to no avail.  Their peak time advertised speeds is absolute rubbish. Not only that, the download speeds are not consistent either. Gaming latency is no better than any other ISP we've been with. Exactly the same as before. Another dumb Kiwi consumer suckered into a 24 month contract with sneaky Marketing yay on me.... Tempted to break contract pay these people the $299 cut my loses and go back to Spark.

Currently waiting on a callback from them. Sometime between 2 and 4 hours if they call back at all this time. Not hopeful to find any resolution to this though

Check out the latest Truenet report and it seems to be a major issue on this ISP

They must have a tonne of customers because they buy more bandwidth than any other ISP. I know Spark have more bandwidth than they know what to do with and yet their speeds are awesome.

How do you know how much bandwidth they buy? I thought that was a trade secret.

I know they claim to buy a lot, but marketing is marketing after all...

The reason for exceptionally slow problems earlier tonight was that Vocus (their upstream provider) had an outage. Some other isp's were impacted also.

Back to 'normal' now.
