i just posted that i had an issue and resolved it with this method.

i did turn off the NF4V4 wireless, as it is just plain crappy - and replaced it with a significantly better wireless device and a better adaptor.

your more than welcome to come and test it - i have a 30 metre cable here and have tested both :)

it is just a suggestion and help for people that find buying a long ethernet cable or buying a new expensive router not viable for whatever reason.

The OP has stated their WiFi "seems" fine. Adding another WiFi device won't test that. A cable will rule out WiFi interference / signal issues, and confirm it's the router.

Alternatively, replacing the router with a newer / better one (Don't use the EnergyImports ones if they offer, they've been worse in my testing) and staying on the WiFi would also, again, confirm the issue is the router.

did you even read my posts, you just repeated what stated, and i also gave 1 complete solution.

my point is the wireless SEEMED fine, but it wasn't.

are you coming to some point with these responses? if so please state it.

I'm saying that if the router WiFi is a problem, you're still not going to know any different.

A cable as others have suggested will rule that out entirely and is 100%. Another client-adapter is not.

just get an extender or an old router with at least 2 aerials external and use InsiderHome to check your performance (its free)

also purchasing the ugly but AMAZING performance (cheap if your on a budget):

^^ is a bad suggestion, this is what I'm saying. It won't help anything, it won't rule out anything, and it won't help identify the issue, it's only going to make the whole process convoluted.
