this what I just got on DSL reports

For gigabit connection it's pretty damn woeful

Try again during peak hours and let us know, I was consistently getting between 1 to 5Mb/s download speed. It slightly improved after complaining since mid December but most evenings it was totally un-usable. Couldn't work, couldn't play online games, couldn't download a 150MB driver.

I just switched providers, couldn't tolerate it any more.

Taken just now

and it's even worse

That is better than what I was getting last week although voyager is 600% faster (I'm not kidding). Buffer float on Orcon is pretty bad as well.

@Sounddude

I wasn't home then I was on my way to Auckland airport so have no idea will run another test soon just busy with work at the moment and struggling for time to do anything

here you go for 5:00pm

Still not what I'd call acceptable for an gigabit connection

although the local speed has increased huge amount

DSL Reports does its checks from all over the world, so yes its never going to be @ 1gig. Its just how TCP/The internet works. The fact you got an A+ shows its going fairly well.

Glad your local speeds have been resolved.

DSL reports is effectively an international speed test dude, that result is really good

I don't think you're going to get anything better than an A+ rating ;)

I didn't expect to get gigabit all over the world as I know the servers overseas are not controlled by my ISP and may be limited by their own bandwidth and or congestion
