Greaver:

Any idea how I can set vlan in windows 10 now? Maybe I'm just noobing out but iirc it was in here

Install the realtek diagnostic tool from the realtek.com.tw site, it will let you add vlans and that will make a virtual ethernet adapter for each one you add.

When you are done and remove them, you will find lots of protocols on the actual physical adapter are disabled, you will need to reenable those.

Couldn't find a way to disable the DSL connection but reset my new as of today D7000 router for the second time today with those same bloody settings and it's frucking working all of a sudden.

I don't even want to know why it's decided to start working, it's a not a very scientific result to help other folks in the future but hey it's working right

Many thanks to those who lent me their time and knowledge this morning, I'm now going to ring 2 Degrees and attempt to get my money back for the last two months of internet I've had to pay for with no service, and then hopefully get them to partially cover the $300 I've spent on mobile data bwahaha cheers people
