Tel69:

Hi all,

I'm embarrassed to say this seems like user caused.
Both my nephew and my brother were moving to 2 Degrees.
My nephew was moving sooner but had not recieved his Fritz box, BUT my brother had recieved his.
Soooo (you can see where this is heading) my nephew borrowed my brothers Fritz box and then gave by brother his Fritz box when it was recieved.
Guess what, only one of those accounts/Fritz boxes had a telephone number attached to it.

My nephew checked his fritz box and sure enough there were calls missed to a phone he did not have.
The phone number is locked down to whats provided by the ISP is what both my brother and nephew have learned.

Thanks VERY much

This exact same thing happened to me. My parents signed up to Snap just before the rebrand to 2deg. To reduce the amount of time that they would need to go on contract for I gave them my Snap supplied Fritzbox that I wasn't using.

They managed to get the internet setup themselves but said that the phone wasn't working. Turned out that the fritxbox had auto configured with my account details. And since I didn't have VOIP, the phone wouldn't work for them. I simply phoned 2deg and they have a database that associates fritzboxes with accounts. All I had to do was give them the fritzbox serial number then factory reset the fritzbox. It then downloaded the settings for my parents connection and everything then worked.
