Just thought I'd add something - I just fixed my IPv6 tonight (forgot to save my switch VLAN configuration and had a power cut recently) and have been testing this via my IPv6 testing SSID, on wireless to my Chromebook along with my standard network SSID which currently has IPv6 disabled.

This is not at all scientific - heck I am testing this over WiFi on a Core M3 powered Chromebook but interesting that upload is not really affected.

Also, from what I have heard from people who work for 2degrees in their broadband and datacentre side it is still pretty-much Snap internally, and still based in Christchurch.

Also pinging @NickMack who may know something.

Hi All,

Testing has pointed us to the likely suspect - an issue has been identified with a change in behavior post a Junos upgrade on our core PE's - Change is currently in QA with the change scheduled to be rolled out today.

Initial testing looks good!

When did it start (feels like it was like Nov/Dec last year)? What was it isolated to?

Sounds like the vendor made a change to the default beaviour.

BTW, fix works for me too.

That's why I'd like a bit more transparency here. Seems like a long term issue that affected quite a few people.

Hiya,

The issue affected some customers on ipv6 - based on the PE they were hitting and the revision of code they were hitting (We have a heap, and upgrading them takes time :-)). It has been escalated a few times from Care into one of my teams for investigation. Sometimes the description of a fault can lead you to troubleshoot in the 'wrong' area, this would be an example of this. We looked at the Queuing/QOS profiles for ipv6 traffic on old/new code and noticed a change in behaviour in some filters, which helped us isolate and resolve. Troubleshooting these issues sometimes takes time to Lab, reproduce and address/resolve.
