rugrat: Ask them about 200/20, that offer was intended by Enable to end at the end of the year so they may not want to put people on contracts where the offer could end during contract. Enable are looking at extending it from another thread though not guaranteed.

I’ve rung 2degrees twice, both times phone answered under 3 minutes and person on other end had knowledge of what I was asking about. One was just got the internet running and phone wouldn’t do out going calls, they fixed on the spot.

Phone service includes free toll calls NZ landlines, 22 cent per minute mobile calls, caller ID, message minder - in settings can even see where can get messages sent to email, haven’t tested, and other services come with it.

They also offer Prime Video one year free with a year contract, and on their web site can still see the $200 joining credit there as well.

Cheers, if we go 2D we'll ask them. The feedback here on their customer service is encouraging.

Linux:

zyo: Bigpipe. You can't beat three months free (Which is almost 250dollar value)
And their plans are competitively priced.

@zyo Yes you can beat 3 months free, For a start look at the support 2degrees staff provide here on Geekzone

I picked 2degrees for this very reason the staff @SaltyNZ @NickMack @2degreescare

I dont have any experience with regards to support from 2degrees but bigpipe's online support obviously might not suit everyone.

For residential UFB customers (which I suspect OP is) I am not sure if support makes that much of a difference as most of the network troubleshotting would have to be done through Chorus etc anyway?

Or maybe I am just lucky and seldomly have to contact my ISP for an outage.

Is your connection for residential or commercial purposes? and are you currently on a residential or business plan?

I actually just did the opposite. From 2D to Slingshot.

The customer service seems very hit and miss. We got my brother a great renewal deal on 2D, had been with them for 1 Year, and they refused to give me the same deal, 7 years. so decided to switch.

The actual speed and connection were good, apart from 40min disconnections in the early morning every few days.

I don't think you will have any problems if you switch.

Thanks for the feedback, positive and negative. We’re residential and currently on a residential plan.

As an update on our customer service experience a Vocus Group representative here on GeekZone helped get our Slingshot issues sorted out. They’re even giving us a refund, which is a nice unexpected bonus, so many thanks to them on that count.

We’ll still move on at some point soon though. A bit too much water under the bridge even though we probably just got unlucky.

I have been with 2D for 11 months and my current contract expires next month. I have had such great service from them I am signing up for another 12 months and will get the $200 credit deal again. I was with spark befor that and had suck issues with them I would not go back to them even if i got 12 months free fiber.
