steveonz: Soyou are suggesting I call them up each week and ask " So hows it going?"

I just want to know intresting stuff as it happens...

I dont get it??  You asked for means of communication and then ignore the blatantly obvious..  Like already stated, wait until it hits the headlines!!

... OK BOSS . . .

There is more than one way to get information than PR, as they are often outdated and really don’t tell all.... As you’re a Master Geek I suppose ill have to do as you say...

steveonz:

Hello there,

I have actively been seeking more information on NZComms for some time. It seems that this forum is the only one that deals with news and upcoming speculation on the organization. Are there any other avenue for finding out more from this company? Their news section on their website isn't exactly up-to date...

One definition of news is something that someone somewhere doesn't want published, and a small startup like NZC has a better chance of controlling their information than the behemoths. Having said that, they're obviously sharing with the government as part of some heavy lobbying and a lot of their buildout activities are on public streets, so some informed commentary is possible.

If you want better public information about NZC's activities I suggest you go get a job there, then report back to the forum :)

This is where the naming of NZComms annoys me.  Anyone could easily google Econet Zealand and get a good covering of what there is out there related to the company formerly known as Econet New Zealand.  Now known as NZ Communications (probably the most boring name known in recent history) it is a bit harder to get the same information.  Note to people starting companies (or bands or other things with names): google your name first, if you get more than 100 hits, change the name.  If you are having children however, google their prospective name, anonymity is a good thing (I'm the only 'me' in cyberspace and I wish I weren't).

Anyway, I'm at university and there is a database available that provides the text of a lot of newspapers around NZ.  I will endeavour to provide a monthly summary of any juicy information that I can find - please PM me if I forget, however February will be the last month as I'll probably not go back next year.
