doesn't matter if you advertise gigabit then at least provide it to ur own servers, they couldn't even do that.

I'm closing this one off as you've advised the issue is resolved.

The person I spoke to told me to change a network cable, also told me to plugin the slingshot modem I advised I'm a systems engineer and run a edge router and it could not be that. Then told me to that 100mbps speeds were good lol.

 

This is an attitude you have to change. I have a Fritz!Box that is pre-configured ready to go at home. If I am running into issues (even though I am running an Edgerouter 4 which is overkill) I try the Fritz anyway to prove to both myself, and my ISP that it is an issue on their end. I have a whole lot of qualifications under my belt but I never, ever mention these.

 

Just do what the call centre say, don't argue, it makes things easier for both them and yourself. They've dealt with these problems many many times now and have to ask all the questions first.

 

If you wanted to use that line you really should have stayed with Voyager instead of going with a consumer-focused ISP. You get what you pay for.
