Can only work with people who are on Orcon+ (UCLL) and very close to the exchange.

I might be trialling Telecom's VDSL2 soon but perhaps testing Orcon's VDSL2 would be better since I'm already an Orcon customer (unbundled in Mt Roskill).

duncanblair: Yep, we are well underway with our trials. Can't give any specifics around when you might see a product launch just yet, but stay tuned.

Speaking of which, would be really interested to hear from anyone who is interested in VDSL2 exactly why you are interested i.e. what do you intend to do with the extra speed? Are you interested just because faster = better, or are you looking at it as a potential alternative to Fibre because of the higher upload speed?

Faster upload's the real benefit for me personally.

Thats the one thing ADSL does not do well.

Check your sync rate to the exchange/cabinet, if your syncing at around 20mbit then you would qualify.. anything less than that and there wont be much point in trialling vdsl2 as your not going to get the speed benefits.
