??? Checked again and still the monthly charge is $10.

Correct - the monthly charge for static IPv4 and IPv6 is $10, as noted previously. Your snip showed your IPv6 only. Now it will show your IPv4 and IPv6 🙂

OK, I originally had a static IPv4 address that was free as I am providing a Stratum 1 NTP server for the public pool.

Later when I extended this to also provide a stratum 2 server accessed by IPv6, 2d wanted $10/m for a static IPv6 address.

I spoke to someone at 2d about this extra charge and they put me on a new contract which was cheaper (negated the $10 charge) and also had a year's free Amazon.

I am not fussed about this extra charge but like Timmmay, I am not sure why all IPv6 addresses cannot be static.

Unlike IPv4, there is no shortage. (there will never be a shortage.)

I just tried calling up and asked if static IPv6 was available for no extra cost if I already had a static IPv4 address. I was put on hold for a few minutes while they checked and the answer came back that its an additional $10/month for static IPv6 even though I'm already paying $10/month for a static IPv4 (so $20/month for a static IPv4 and a static IPv6).

Edit: Just got a call back a few minutes later and its all sorted. Turns out there is indeed no extra charge for adding static IPv6 on to my existing static IPv4 address. Also moved on to a cheaper contract so good result!
