The exact reasons that I ignore calls from blocked numbers, along with not being interrupted for things that do not benefit me.

The reasons I stated were for the protection of the people being called.
If it's important they will reach out by other means or call back.
I wasn't aware government departments blocked caller ID? Must be just some. I have worked for 2 government organisations and they don't.
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

The government Ministry I worked for block caller ID. The hospital number and my medical centre number are ID blocked.
I got a call from Southern Response, someone had taken them to court and they had to pay another 10% on cash payouts done before 2013 and interest (year maybe wrong but around there)
I got over $500 dollars for answering that call. Money is in my account now, so not a scam but I wasn’t 100% sure.
Guess I’ve could’ve said no caller ID so not going to answer it, they may have left a voice message if hadn’t.
Can’t call back a call if doesn’t display caller ID, and if harassment type call then it’s notify police.
I’ll answer them, and decide after answering if interested. Usually hang up straight away if they say something wrong with my computer and wish to offer assistance type call.
I use focus modes to block any calls from anyone not in my contacts list. If someone wants to call me then they need to email me first to either arrange a time, or whitelist their number.
Nuisance calls are extremely disruptive, and not something that I am willing to just put up with.
dukester: I just get annoyed when legitimate businesses call using no caller ID, I ignore the call because of the scam calls that hide behind the same display, then I’m chasing my tail trying to return answer phone messages.
callers with legitimate business with you would certainly leave voicemail, no?

As soon as it is a matter of authorities, secrecy or money, communication has to be by letter post, telephone calls are not legally valid (here with us). So you can't gain any disadvantages (e.g. lose money) by blocking unknown callers, except that you might miss Aunt Erna's coffee invitation because she doesn't want to use number transfer.

A: Afraid not, no.

Q: Can I find out the real caller ID of a no caller-ID call?
A: Afraid not, no AND ANYWAY YOU SHOULD NEVER ANSWER A NO CALLER ID CALL I NEVER DO I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT THE FACT THAT MOST SPAM/SCAMS FAKE CLID IS LOST ON ME I NEED TO TAKE OVER THE THREAD REGARDLESS TO TELL YOU, IN PERSON, THAT I NEVER ANSWER NON-CLID CALLS.
Actually, everything had been said, but not yet by everyone. :-)
