magu: I have Orcon ADSL2+ at home and Telstra's VDSL service in the office. For the same amount of money, Telstra's service is faster AND not shaped.
So saying that $120 a month doesn't cover for the costs, I beg to differ. I do not want 10Mbit/s at home. Just the same amount of service that was provided before the new traffic shaping equipment was put in. It made me much happier then.
I am proud to be with Orcon for their openness with their practices, but I don't like being throttled that badly.
I agree with you I also pay $120 a month and pay for every Gb used, I should be able to use my data for whatever I like. Btw I don't think anyone can get VDSL at a private address yet
