They like to make this difficult, I can't just swap from pay monthly to prepaid.

I move this plan today from $50 monthly plan. Really low price.

+1 kogan.   for $13.75 a month, I get 15GB of data.  not roll over, but still, nothing else comes close to that.

It only works if you can buy for someone else though, single people suck I guess.

Moved to this 2degrees plan on Monday.

Interesting to see so much chatter in this thread about Kogan.

Have been with Kogan previously but found it too much hassle when I ever ran out of data -- extra data is very expensive on Kogan to the point I got a extra SIM just to get access to good deals elsewhere (e.g. Vodafone daily deals is wonderful, $1-3 for several gigs of data for up to 7 days). My data usage at times can be as low as 1GB/month (when I don't go anywhere on weekends etc) and at other times can be as high as 20GB/month (when I travel out of town to places with no/poor WiFi) -- that type of usage is awful for Kogan as you either waste a lot of GBs during the low months or you pay through the nose for extra data during the high months. If you predictably use the same amount every month and never need any extra -- then Kogan is a good plan for you -- but I wonder how many people are in that boat?

2degrees rollover is more useful for me as I can hoard data and so when I need it it's there for me to use. So after several months of <1GB usage I have 30-50GB of data for when I'm on holiday or whatever. Their data hour is also useful. If it has to come to purchasing extra data the prices are more reasonable than Kogan.

Kogan also blocks premium SMS etc which can be annoying when confirming Dr appointments etc.

So in all I wouldn't go back to Kogan -- been there done that.

Anyway, back to 2degrees, did anyone else get a extra 7GB as a gift? Wonder if I got it because I ported in a number or if it's a generic welcome gift.

Has anyone switched to this $26/month plan and seen whether the data clock still gives a free hour each day?

On the 2degrees mobile app it's the only monthly prepay plan of $19 or more that does not include "... and a Free Data Hour every day." The website is less clear: on the initial list of plans the free hour seems to be included, but on clicking through via "Get this plan," "Top up online" and "Buy a Plan or Add-on" it's like the mobile app: there's no mention of the free hour for the $26/month option.

I'm on the $26 plan.

I can see the option to get a free data hour. Haven't pressed it etc to see if it works.

The website is also clear that the $26 plan includes free data hour -- see https://www.2degrees.nz/mobile-plans/prepay.

You're right though the app doesn't say much -- there's a lot of info on the website page linked above that is completely missing from the short description provided in the app.

Based on the website info, the $26 plan basically seems to be exactly the same as the $45 plan except it costs $26.

I wish they'd offer it as pay monthly. It seems like such a hassle to go back to dealing with top-ups.

You can buy this via the app now if you are on prepaid.

Anyone having an issue with their plan?
I have two phones using the $26 plan and they both say the plan is on hold, even though they either had Credit card payment setup, or one of them even had over $26 credit.

there is no option to renew this particular plan. It says there is no combo selected.
Also, the new app they force you to use is pretty useless.

Has been working fine for me. I just make sure I have enough credit to renew it when it comes round for renewal. Have done two or so renewals so far.

Agree the new app is quite lacking though.

Just got off the phone with them

Something to do with their migration, it has affected most accounts

they applied the plan manually, and advised me to remove and readd autopay.
