Wish I had seen this thread yesterday- I thought I had somehow messed up my eSIM...

Was very happy when it started working again.

Did it affect VoWifi as well as cellular?

I was curious as to whether VoWifi would be an effective fallback in a situation like this, but I guess it's probably vulnerable to failures in the IP back end that also services VoLTE?

What broke?

Ah, just about everything... but if you mean what broke first then the RCA will be a couple of days away.

No rest for the champions, the team definitely deserve a drink after getting things all back to normal ;)

So only a couple of weeks later and now I can't send SMS. Seems like the wheels are slowly falling off here. Was there a report on what happened to the voice and data issue?

The report on Voice & data issue a few weeks back I would be very surprised if this was public information

Would be nice to know what happened

Are you a business customer? If so, we know what that is and it has already been fixed.

Should we be seeing a fix with SMS now, still can't send, but can receive them.

It is actually fixed now, but the issue only affected some business plans, not all. Some plans were updated overnight. In the charging system there is a mapping between the incoming service (an SMS) and the logic it has to run to authorise it. For the updated plans, this link between service and logic was broken.

I have a similar problem. I have an old iPhone 6 running ios12,5,8 on 4G.

Mobile data works fine, sms (with iMessage turned off) works, but voice calls fail and incoming goes straight to voicemail.

I got a new 2 Degrees sim so I could give it to my 12 year old grandson to see if he could handle a phone before upgrading. Voice calls are a primary use.

I’ve tried the sim in other phones & other sims in this phone but no calls to of from.

I’ve tried all suggestions I can find but still no go.

Any Ideas please?

According to 2d, the iPhone 6 isn’t VoLTE compatible
