tardtasticx: Want to see what the call costs are and what there SIM looks like, Hope its better than my Purple one from vodafone. :S

Purple??? Wouldn't that be a Orcon one haha, have you got a PIC, I've only seen red VF SIM's. Is it special or just new?

lol, I used to have a yellow one untill a faulty phone I had got diagnosed wrongly and I ended up buying a new SIM as a result and still end up sending that phone away. :(

openmedia: They have always said they would announce the date in august, not that the date would be in august.

I met with someone from 2D about 4 months ago, and at that stage they were aiming for "either side of July" for launch.

I had to laugh when I heard is was August, NZComms was the king of the running late network :)

But i gives them luvs anyways, if 2D was a athlete they would be a long distance runner, Telecom would be the Triathlon runner and Vodafone hmmmm, boxing :)

Vodafone were the first to bring boxing into NZ....

lol!

My compass SIM seems to just be a standard 256k Vodafone SIM with different printing. Interestingly the network name appears as "Compass Mobile" and not "vodafone NZ"

Purple? very interesting, my Prepay one is only a couple of thousand digits away and it's still a yellow one with the oldschool bellsouth late 90's "Pre Pay" logo same version (3.1.6) and STK (2.5.1)

if Two Degrees is listening, give the geeks some SIM loving, post a pic of your SIM artwork here, at least it will distract us from not having a launch date!

I really hope they would do that, and it would be thanks to you also for suggesting it, but I doubt they would give us the satisfaction. lol

Why not, no one else but geeks would care about SIM card artwork, but it would give 2D brownie points, they are media savvy after all. I'm a friend of them on facebook!

Bugger, must find out who does their advertising.

Yeh, Something for us to talk about while 2D ponders wheather to show us a sneak preveiw of the sim artwork. I'm hoping there sim's are something unique to NZ, maybe a kiwi or something half decent looking, unlike "3G"... Anyways, about that Bellsouth SIM? :D
