They want to keep competetion high between them, vodafone and telecom so they prob wont release the date untill august some time. I'm guessing it will be in the second week/middle of August. Cant wait too though. Want to see what the call costs are and what there SIM looks like, Hope its better than my Purple one from vodafone. :S

lol

I have to say, I do much prefer the 2Degrees ads with Rhys Darby than the XT ads with Richard Hammond. A bit of humour and friendlier I guess. Perhaps easier to relate to as well.

it'd kind of be a rip, they make us anticipate the launch on being like aug 1st, but making it that would just suck for the rest of us.

They'd say September then, if it were the 31st.

No, because the 31st would still be august

They have always said they would announce the date in august, not that the date would be in august.

From 2degreesmobile.co.nz - 'The 2degrees network will launch in August and around that time we'll post you a free SIM that gives you $5 of free calling'

Purple??? Wouldn't that be a Orcon one haha, have you got a PIC, I've only seen red VF SIM's. Is it special or just new?

I met with someone from 2D about 4 months ago, and at that stage they were aiming for "either side of July" for launch.

I had to laugh when I heard is was August, NZComms was the king of the running late network :)

But i gives them luvs anyways, if 2D was a athlete they would be a long distance runner, Telecom would be the Triathlon runner and Vodafone hmmmm, boxing :)
