freitasm: Only 0 prefixed numbers? That's not fun!

What happened to the millions of numbers that are available??  If I can't get my home number then when the money runs out it's by by 2D.. Just hope the SIM comes this side of Xmas..

Yeah I learnt that the hard way. My PC was in caps when I entered it, then later it was off, 3 incorrect entries - account locked. However, when this happens all one needs to do is click I forgot my password and enter security question, and it removes this lock.

I too want my home phone number as my 022, beginning with 9. I have a sim and phone, but once credit runs out I won't be keeping it unless I get my home number on it, like I thought I would be able to. After all, my home number is fairly junk for a cellphone number, I wouldn't have thought anyone else would want it.

Hmm, so I managed to get one number for my wife.

And then I grabbed another one of my cards (grabbed $10 worth from DSE) and tried to set it up.

Let's just say they've got some problems in their system!

Somehow my session got mixed up with somebody elses.

What I saw was:
(1) The number I was searching for would randomly change (to whatever somebody else was obviously searching for). Eg If I searched for 022 123 4567, when the results screen came up it would say that I searched for 022 987 6543.

and worse still

(2) When I finally found a number that I liked, I *almost* changed somebody elses number!

ie the summary screen said "Your number is 022 xxx xxxx and we'll change it to 022 yyy yyyy".
But "022 xxx xxxx" wasn't my number!

Maybe it wouldn't have worked if I hit submit - but let's just say I'm going to be careful!
It would have really annoyed me if it had worked as I would have lost what is a really good number.

This is what I meant, for a large scale release to the public, they surely needed to be tested to minimise issue(s) like what've been reported and experienced.

It is understand that it has its teething problem but where's the QA testing for their customer portal? I hope they'll get this sorted as that portal is their only "interface" between their customers and their reputation.

Certainly won't want to see 2degrees having launch difficulty similar to Jetstar.

I'm hoping not.  I'll try again tomorrow with the number I wanted, if no success, I'll call their helpdesk again and post the outcome here.
