Huh? What witchcraft is this? It's impossible these days to have a broadband connection with an ISP without your landline - from what I've seen, Orcon, Slingshot, TelstraClear and Vodafone don't want your unprofitable brandband connection without your nice profitiable landline and calling too.

Snap and Maxnet offer decent Naked DSL plans, then you can use 2talk of whatever for voip with a local number.

Sounddude: Not quite true Ragnor

The business bandwidth mentioned in that blog is for Business type services, ie Fibre, Colocation etc. I will confirm if DSL is part of the bandwidth pool.

In the mean time, if you are a home user, hold off, as we have some upgrades being put into place next week which should help.

Looks like these upgrades are now in place as Orcon is back to how I remember it being before my upgrade.

So Sounddude, care to let us know what these upgrades are?
