freitasm: There's nothing to do with "2degress datacentres" or whatever you want - but 2degrees did nothing wrong in this case.

How about the logs? statements?
2 SIM cards.

Ok, two SIM cards. So you had TWO different accesses to the My 2degress site. One SIM card you selected the number you wanted, correct? Then you logged into the My 2degrees site with the OTHER SIM card number and did a port over that.

Or not?

You did not answer my question.

Yes, 2 SIM cards - 2d(one) and Vodafone(one).

"So you had TWO different accesses to the My 2degress site." - have no idea.
"One SIM card you selected the number you wanted, correct?" - Yes,
"Then you logged into the My 2degrees site with the OTHER SIM card number and did a port over that." - No, with OTHER NUMBER, with the number I wanted.

Sorry, nothing can be done then. You had only ONE 2degrees SIM card. You choose a 022 number there.

Then you ported your Vodafone number over it.

When you port a number you port OVER the existing number.

What you want now?

Personaly, from you? Nothing. And I did not ask you. My complain is for 2d. Is it 2d forum? You was trying to protect 2d and show me that I wrong, thank you, your rights.
Oh, sorry, last question

"There's nothing to do with "2degress datacentres" or whatever"

No, this is not THE 2degrees forum. This is the Geekzone 2degrees forum, where users come to help each other. And to help YOU we ask questions.

2degress read here. Other operators read here. They may help sometimes, but they don't have to.

We ask questions to help you. You don't want our help? Fine. You're too rude to be here.

You are blowing this way out of proportion, he is trying to help you and you just be rude to him, for one its not 2 degrees fault, its yours so it can hardly be a complaint and two this is the geekzone forums not the official 2 degrees forums so this is not where you can get help from them, you get combined help from everyone on the forums.

2 Degrees have done exactly what a number port entails - you take one number and replace the number you have with it.

My suggestion to get this all resolved is to purchase another prepay sim from 2 Degrees, call them up and explain that you recently did a number port, not knowing you'd lose your original number.  I'm sure it's only just gone back into the main pool of numbers, so they should be able to grab it and assign it to your new SIM.

Good luck.

Ok, here is the solution for your case - someone from 2degrees passed this information to me...

When your number was ported OVER, your special 022 number is moved into quarantine. If you are nice enough (i.e. not being rude when calling) you can talk them to recover it for you into ANOTHER SIM card.

For that you will need a second SIM card. It's on this SIM card you will have to ask the 022 number be transferred to.

You will end up with TWO 2degress SIM cards. One has your old Vodafone number, the other will have the "special" 022 number you are after.

If you really want people to dial one number but ring on another then YOU have to setup call forwarding. Before you do this, understand call forwarding costs YOU from dialed number to your forwarded to number.

I will keep this thread locked from here because that's all that needs to be discussed. We don't need your rants again.

You realise your Vodafone account was automatically closed when you asked to port your number to another telco, don't you? This is part of the porting process.

Another bit of information: apparently there's an "Emergency Return" if you ported a number and want it back in the original provider - if done within 24 hours of the porting.
