check your usage for the past couple of months and see whether you really need all you can eat. i am not on all you can eat but on the Pro plan, and i am lucky if i can get 2GB done within their so called "free data" period each nite. it's not worth the hassle mate. i rather pay another 20 or 30 per month on something that i can use.

Slingshot insist that there is no 'shaping' on their plans, only 'prioritisation'.
They are one and the same.
Don't the majority of ISPs perform some kind of traffic shaping/prioritisation? I would have thought that VOIP is always going to get priority over p2p applications and web browsing would have priority over FTP.
Unless of course you join an ISP which expressly states that they do not perform traffic shaping/prioritisation of any kind - in which case it would be a unique selling point and they would promote that fact quite heavily?

I'm sure if an ISP didn't do shaping/prioritisation the service would be absolutely unusable unless they had ridiculous amounts of bandwidth.
Anyone remember a year or so back when xnet implemented free downloading from midnight? The internet would just stop as soon as it hit 12am. I was unable to even load the google page, let alone game or anything else.
Im not on AYCE and its been tolerable again. I dont buy their claims that they are separate provisioning at all since I see the exact same issues as the AYCE people.
