DonGould: Do I have to buy a $5 sim (saw someone write about that) then convert to PM then do port?
If you do it online, then yes, you need to get a $5 SIM and activate it as prepay (just make a call, to anything, doesn't matter where) first. Then do the Pay Monthly conversion, and when that completes, do the port.
If you go to a dealer I believe one is provided as part of the pay monthly setup, but don't quote me on that.
Either way, wait for Pay Monthly setup to be completed before attempting the port.
