If you actually knew anything about the XT failures you'd know that it wasn't down to a single person or persons. It was a mixture of poor design and over utilized under reasourced hardware.

Also for the record, if you make a big mistake or are part of a big mistake 99.9% of the time your unlikely to ever make it again and have learnt some massive lessons along the way.

Came here to say this.  The fact the "source" thinks he's onto something shows he has zero clue about what actually happened.

It was a good laugh though, thanks OP.  BTW, do you think 9/11 was an inside job?

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

In other words the bean counters had too much input.

So the OP not only thinks that a single person was responsible for the XT "issues" but by association with 2deg, can cause "issues" there too?

What if your first post is in, but not starting, a troll thread? ;)

Well we'll just wait and see then won't we? If 2degrees's network fails, it can just fall back on Vodafone so no one will really care I guess.

This is a myth. In the main cities 2degrees runs on its own network. While in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington (and soon other places) you will be connected to 2degrees' own network of cell sites and backhaul.

2degrees customers ROAM on Vodafone network outside its main coverage area.

This is important. OUTSIDE the main coverage area means that if you are in Auckland and don't have 2degrees service (a dead spot for example) you will not fallback to Vodafone, as that is the main 2degrees coverage area.

Every now and then we get someone posting this kind of things. Before 2degrees launched we had some people coming here posting things about "Econet is running out of money", and how they imported gear was getting locked into a warehouse and what not.

It seems the moon influence this kind of thing...
