Could be someone in your flat using Bitcomet, it has a bad habit of drowning all traffic even when idle! Ask around your flatmates see if anyone is using it..

I had a similar issue to yours so I changed from Bitcomet to Utorrent and have never had an issue since.

i was only pointing out the fact the router is less than 12 months old so i highly doubt that its a modem issue

Hey there,

I've had some extremely useful advice from the good folks here in my thread:
