Just had a call from what would of been Vodafone VoLTE, could tell the call was clearer but not great. Sounded like a lot of packet loss or how a call would sound if on the edge of a coverage zone, so still more work to be done.
I can see 2 2D towers out my window so I know I've got no shortage of signal.
Finding call quality is not getting any better on android 12 S21 5G

Do we know what time next year the SIP interconnect between 2d and Spark is meant to be implemented?

That's not really something we would discuss here but we will let you know when it has been done.

Just had someone leave a message on my voicemail and couldn't really make out anything they said.
Called them back and the quality was terrible so nothing has changed.
This is on wifi calling as that's the only option here.
They were on a landline.
Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

@CYaBro I am sure the issue you are speaking of is different and possibly not related to this thread
I am going to DM you
Edit: Could be a B party issue as well as most calls over WiFi calling are HD

Also hard to define if the voice mail playback was bad because the call for retrieval was bad, the calling party was bad when leaving the voice mail or something else.
This is not the best example of call quality. The best example would be when you can assert that a call where both calling parties are on the same non-2degrees network have good quality but then one of them calls a 2degrees number and the quality is bad.

Current voicemail system saves everything in A-law so it doesn't matter what codec your phone is using when you call it, the recording is always going to be lowest common denominator for quality.

Thread is titled '2 Degrees Call Quality'.
I just had two examples of bad call quality with someone who was on a landline.
Once in the message they left on my voicemail and 2nd time when I called them back.
Why is that not related to this thread?
This is just the latest example too, it happens all the time.
I also got a new phone a couple of months ago so it's not a phone issue.
Edit: Just spoke to Linux on the phone and that call was 100 times better than the others I've had this morning. :D
We will wait a bit more and hopefully things improve.

I never had any voice quality issues until VoLTE was rolled out. I had to turn it off as I couldn't hear people properly and I couldn't get through to some 0800 services.
