Dochart: For those of you who have requested to opt out of CGNAT and obtain a dynamic ip address did you have to state a reason why before they allow you to get a dynamic ip address?

@Dochart Sure you mean static not dynamic

Can’t you still get a public ip address (dynamic ip address which changes a few times each month) if you want to opt out of CGNAT without having to pay for a static ip.

P.S: sorry if I’m mixing up the terminology.

it appears 2D are statically assigning, likely it's one or the other... would make no sense for them to build out whole new functionality..  just another thing to maintain otherwise.

Went on a long trip visiting family and found my VPN to my security cameras no longer worked after trying to access them while at various locations. Finally got time to troubleshoot and found CGNAT on my router IP. Ugh! Have contacted 2D via email and PM. Hoping for a good resolution. Pain in the backside as my first thought was latest iOS or Fritzbox firmware update might have broken the VPN so I tried a couple other things first before thinking 2D might have changed something.

Glad to have found this thread to confirm it.

@JayADee just phone them! It would have been sorted by now if you did.

Thanks Linux.

Interesting, had to call back and get another IP, first one wouldn’t load most pages!

Well I guess I just fell down this hole as I have a 100.65.x.x address and broken access to Nas and self hosted blog...

On hold now to see what they have to say
