It will be interesting to see how Voda and XT will respond to this, if at all. Voda can't afford to do something like this as their ARPU would be affected without increasing overall revenue.

I know theres completely different market sizes but still,

http://www.broadband-expert.co.uk/mobile-broadband/free-laptop/

is an example of a real mobile data plan!

15GB for 41 Pounds (so NZ $82-ish ) sign up for 24 months and get a FREE LAPTOP!

:)

It very much depends, and while it might not add revenue initially, what will happen as we all become more data dependent? VF have their $20 data pack addon, 1gb isn't going to go far between 2 or 3 users despite the best intentions

Also people like my mother has a iphone on VF  and a ipad on XT, she would change one to the other in an instant, it wouldn't add revenue but it would take it away form the competitor

And you can make that $10 for 512MB if you're on the right account... which is a good step, but still not as good as sharing the bundle across devices.

A but greedy here but I think better they offer sharing text and minutes on the plan as well not just only sharing the data

One thing that I find a bit worrying is no mention of if being shared to is enough to keep a sim alive. If I slap a $5 sim in my laptop for data then I have no use to top it up at all if the gigs are shared from another connection.

IMO it would be better to bring the second sims into the same your 2degrees section and not have to worry about a second login too

Every 5th usage of the shared SIM (e.g. your iPad) refreshes the expiry of the account and any cash balance it has. The account remains effectively immortal while it is a shared user as long as you actually use it occasionally.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

I like the idea of "Immortal" SIM cards...very...um...fantastic, if you will.

Fantastic. 2Degrees you're amazing and consistently exceed my expectations. I can just imagine your  competitors huddling together in their glass towers worrying about how many more customers they're going to lose, and how they can match this.

Nice work 2degreesmobile. Very impressed with the innovation offered to the little guy. Not just kept secret for those high paying corporates.

I'm not sure why VF and XT have kept it corporate.... I guess full implementation wouldn't work with their current infrastructure...

Now just for full shared data/minutes/texts...

But hey data is a great start!

Well done 2Degrees. A week after I signed up for Pay Monthly I got this. Good stuff! I'm a very happy user as this is very useful to me and my family. Keep up the good work guys!

This plan is great!

Due to poor 3g coverage in the building I work in I was 1/2 considering shifting telco's.

Now I've shared data with a pre-pay sim in a Huawei D100 3g-Wifi router, put that in a window with sweet coverage, and I get good reliable data on my Android. Yay!

Well done 2Degrees.
