Any news on what the pricing will be for the 50/20 plan?

RalphFromSnap: Hi Lizard1977

Very very close now :) In fact, why don't you send us a DM with your address details?

We should have some good news for a number of few North Island locations in the next week or so - stay tuned!

Cheers
Ralph

Soon ?   Or, is it still a week or so?

For those living in Palmerston North, the wait appears to be over... We have a date for UFB to be installed next Tuesday, so even though Snap's website still doesn't think it's available at our address it certainly is ready to go.

We've been waiting since about April for Snapt to offer UFB in PN (having been told it would be there by the end of June, and having had fibre at the gate since mid-2012), and I almost caved in to Vodafone, which is also signing up customers to UFB in Palmerston North. In the end I decided to hold out, so great timing... Looking forward to seeing the 50/20 prices...

That was my experience as well - I received an email from Snap yesterday saying great news you can now get UFB installed and I've had with Snap for almost 2 months.  So for anyone in Christchurch I suggest you check Enable's address checker (or your letterbok for their weetbix box) as that is far more accurate.

Yep, I can confirm this. I emailed Snap today and they confirmed that my Palmerston North address is positive for Snap UFB. Just need to ring the helpdesk and start the process. Gonna give them a call tonight and hopefully get connected ASAP.

Hi guys

Our website address checker is the hold-up here - we've got a few tweaks that we need to make to improve its reliability a little ... but am happy to confirm that Palmerston North and Napier/Hastings are now live.

In terms of the 50/20 pricing, while we have this confirmed we can't yet order through Chorus - so you'll unfortunately just need to wait ;)

Will do a more formal announcement soon which will cover off all of the rollout plans, and also not just the 50/20 pricing but possibly another plan as well ...

Cheers
Ralph

So, any idea when Tauranga may be included?

"we should be in a position to offer UFB services in at least Hamilton & New Plymouth within a few months, followed by the other UFF areas in Q3"

We are in Q4 now and still absolutely no indication.   I understand you get burnt on future predictions but would be nice if you could keep people updated on progress .

Unless ,I am the only person in tauranga who wants Snap ufb,  could be right.

Hi surfisup1000

If everything goes according to plan we should be live in Tauranga by the end of this month (so still Q3 - but only just!). There's still a few things that we need to get sorted but the network team are pushing as hard as they can.

Please appreciate that there is still a chance the date may move slightly - but when we're 100% confident we'll do a full post here.

Cheers
Ralph

That is great news -- no worries if the date slips, just good to hear updates from time to time.

Hi guys

sen8or - yes AYCE YouTube is available as an option for UFB services.

itey - we'd love to say yes but unfortunately Chorus haven't got that profile ready for us yet - hopefully ready in early October.

Cheers
Ralph

Thanks Ralph, according to your website checker, our address should be active before end of Sept (cables / pipes all laid etc) so will seriously look at switching fro Vodafone when its all go live.

BTW -

Your website on the UFB section says 100/50 or 50/20 or 30/10 from $75 per month, but when you click on the section, there is still no 50/20 plan. One dept getting ahead of themselves?

Hmm, I was gonna sign up to the new UFB this week, but after reading these pages maybe methinks I will hold off a little while to see what pops up out of the woodwork (so to speak)
