PaulBags: F how it currently works, it should work. None of this twelve middle men who arn't responsible bull. ISPs, EQC, insurance companies, semi privatised SOEs, noise control, the police, politicians... the more needlessly complicated things become the less anything actually gets done. I'm absolutely sick of it, I wish we'd never crawled out of the sea. Or at least out of the trees.

then you wouldn't have the internet to complain about

Seems like the OP should be more angry at the rigmarole involved with the company's combined, but not just at Snap themselves

Definitely give them a chance OP, best ISP I have been with by a country mile

baikal:
Now I am online with VDSL, but Chorus didn't install a master filter so the speed is not that good.
Download : 10.5 Mbit/s
Upload: 6.5 Mbit/s

According to the technician, my house is only about 60 meters away from the exchange.

The Fritz!box VDSL settings has some problem, the VPI default value should be 0, but this doesn't work with my VDSL line, no internet access if set it as 0.

So I change VPI value to 1, it works perfect. Anybody knows why?

Do you have other devices connected to the line (phones, alarms, etc)? What speeds did you have under ADSL? Can you post screenshots of the DSL, Spectrum and Statistics tabs (either here or in the mammoth VDSL performance thread)?

I don't know why VPI = 1 works for you and VPI = 0 doesn't. The settings I have here are:
VLAN ID = 10
VPI = 0
VCI = 110

What do have for VLAN and VCI?

Thank you very much for your help. Now my uploading speed has down to 2 Mbit/s, but it's fine, I don't want to spend any time on fixing VDSL any more.
Chorus told me that I would get fibre connection in 30 days.
So I can bear with VDSL.

Finally, I got UFB installed today, 5 months waiting.
I am happy now.
