Got a great engineer who fixed it quickly. Was on the outside of my network, so I'm glad that things all worked out, and maybe even fixed a few other people with the same problem.
System Engineer, you know who you are and I salute you!

I looked up Wiki:

BNG may stand for:

    Born of the Gods
Bandai Namco Games, a video game developer based in Tokyo, and subsidiary of Namco Bandai Holdings.
    Bank Nederlandse Gemeenten
The IATA location identifier for Banning Municipal Airport
    Bermuda National Grid
Bingen-White Salmon (Amtrak station), Washington, United States; Amtrak station code BNG.
    Biochemical natural gas
Bloque Nacionalista Galego - Galician Nationalist Bloc
    Bob and George
Bòrd na Gàidhlig, a government body in Scotland
    British National Grid
    British Nuclear Group
Border Network Gateway, also known as a Broadband Remote Access Server or Broadband Network Gateway
Bahala Na Gang, a Filipino street gang with operations throughout California and Luzon island

the whole point of sharing what the issue was is so that other people who may suffer the same/similar problems to what you have experianced can search and read this thread and know what direction for take to solve their issue

do you think you could explain what was wrong

Hey guys, the BNG is the Broadband Network Gateway. Had a chat with some of our NOC guys this morning and it looks like there was a configuration issue there affecting a few people but this has been fixed up now so there shouldn't be any similar issues in future.

Cheers,
Chris
