This is probably a longshot but check you have selected In Network Selection "Automatically select preferred network"  Based on the comment earlier about falling of the Network when leaving Roaming raised a faint possibility that you may have Vodafone selected as the Network operator rather then the Automatic selection.

If you don't like their inability to help, choose another provider, I'm sure they won't miss you and we won't miss your stroppiness on the issue.

My position is just the same as most of the rest of New Zealand who doesn't work in IT.

Sorry if it's a bit too n00b to expect a company to deliver on what they claim.

You raise a good point, and one I have covered with 2degrees, but it is set on auto.

When I was expecting 4G in Auckland and Wellington, it was on 2degrees network (ie: No "R" in the status bar)

are you going to bother trying the sim in another phone? trying another 2d sim in your phone?

if not might as well lock this thread now as no "IT professional" i know would not try to resolve the issue any way they could.

2 degrees doesnt owe you anything, they have given you as much help as they can because the device its self if not theirs to start with.

try and be a little more "professional" in the future.

try what people have suggested, and maybe step down off the "its 2d fault" for a minute and you might actually get out from the blinkers you have put on yourself

How about stepping down off your pedestal? If you had the read the thread you would have known all the angles have already been covered with 2degrees. As I said, they don't know why it doesn't work.

On the subject of professionalism, I work in the IT industry and always initially assume the client knows what they are talking about, rather than the often used "client is a moron" path.

It's a lot easier to treat a client professionally than have to eat humble pie later as I have made a few upperty CSR's do over the years.
