I haven't been using my computer mid to late evening recently so I don't know.

We are also a 2Degrees UFB subscriber in the Wellington region (Porirua), and are also experiencing this issue. I had thought it was just us, and was blaming dodgy wireless routers (will 2Degrees refund me for the two AC routers I just ordered before finding this thread?!).

As others report it is mainly occurring in the evenings, between 6-9pm, so appears somehow related to high demand. But its uneven, and running a speedtest when its happening yields normal results, so it doesn't appear as simple as bandwidth exhaustion.

Like the others, we see major sites become inaccessible for varying periods of time, typically several minutes or more. Bursts of instability seem to last for 15-30 minutes.

PLEASE sort this out 2Degrees, its a significant pain.

Tony

Hi there Tony,

Thanks for your post. We are not aware of any ongoing issues in your area, and the cause of the issues detailed in this thread were remedied around 3-4 weeks ago.

I've managed to locate your account from your GZ username, and I can see that your modem has been connected to us for a long time (current session is edging towards 2800hrs...) so definitely the first thing I'd recommend would be to give it a reboot. If you continue to have issues, please contact the care team on 0800 022 022 option 2 for Broadband, and they'll be able to open a ticket with our wholesaler to check the connection for you and get to the bottom of what is occurring.

Thanks,

Ralph ^JOB

Note it resolves to snap cache server and not an official google server.   Pages load but videos won't stream giving unknown error.  Html5 and flash player videos both effected.
