Thats an 8b Specturm, which is odd.. line is pretty clean however.

Ild personally consider enquiring with Snap to get them to check if your showing as 17a on the dslam, could be looking at a firmware bug or something there.

No improvement in speedtest results after 11 days...still about 32.5Mbps. It was just over 38Mbps with Spark using two different brands of modem.
I updated Fritz Box firmware to 6.30 as soon as I was connected to 2degrees. The update appeared to be successful but now I'm not so sure.

No but when I saw that my profile changed from 8b to 17a I expected/hoped my speed to return to 38Mbps. If I reset my modem on Spark it would start on 32 and climb to 38 within about 10 days as expected when DLM does its magic. For a long time my Spark connection was more like 50-60Mbps so 32 is rather disappointing. In our subdivision in Shirley, Christchurch there is no Vodafone cable or Fibre so I'm guessing everyone is on VDSL causing increased crosstalk so some drop in speed is expected.
I guess I should connect 2degrees about my unusual spectrum graph. I read in another thread here that you cannot downgrade the firmware on the 2degrees provided Fritz Box modems.

Connect up the old Spark modem. Configure it with 2degrees user/pass. See if sync speeds and throughput is any better. I've found the Fritzbox I was sent syncs slower than my other Broadcom based modems. One of the reasons I don't use it.

Could just be that DLM has been reset during the transition, and the Chorus equipment hasn't deemed your line to meet the 17a criteria since.

I was just thinking of trying my old Spark set up...Huawei modem+Netgear R7000. Both of my Spark modems had Broadcom chipsets. It would be great if I could get the Fritz sorted as the wifi is great while the Huawei is hopeless...at least in my house.

You can get the Fritzbox to connect through another modem. Can be configured as a PPPoE client, DHCP client or AP/ATA. I have mine acting as an ATA only behind another router.

I contacted 2degrees this morning and was told firmware v6.30 is not supported by them and said it was probably the cause of my issue. I was also told downgrading the firmware back to v6.20 would void the warranty. I tried anyway but it refused to install an older version.

you need to flash back the firmware.

Snap should have a supported firmware for VDSL that they would wanna load onto it for you though... they used to anyway.

It sounded like since I updated to "unsupported" firmware I'm on my own. The woman I spoke to said a customer located and downgraded the firmware but it didn't work for me. From what she said they don't support you updating the firmware(unless they push it) and they don't support you downgrading the firmware once you do. I'm not sure where that leaves me(or any other customer) that has and encountered issues.
Anyway reconnected my Huawei HG630b and Netgear r7000. Without DLM having a chance to do its thing I immediately got 38Mbps on Speedtest.net up from 32.5Mbps.

DLM wont do anything when you change your devices unless you disconnect and reconnect all the time, its always monitoring but at a slower rate than the first 10 days. if you connect a new device i wouldn't think dlm would do much at all unless it completely changed the quality of your line, which is unlikely

i suspect its due to the firmware or the chipset in the device.
